Ad Hoc Finance

Discusses how our District may best use group contributions to carry the message.

Ad Hoc Growth

Recommends adjustments to District strategy and policy to improve how we carry the message to alcoholics on a larger scale with the potential to help alcoholics for years to come. One of the most senior and important functions in our District.

Activities

Throws fun events to build local A.A. unity and workshops as a service to local A.A. groups and members

Helps preserve local A.A. history so we don't make the same mistakes in carrying the message

Grapevine

Creates greater awareness about the A.A. Grapevine in our local community as important recovery. The A.A. Grapevine can go places where we can’t.

Cooperation With The Professional Community

Educates professionals about the A.A. program in hopes they refer alcoholics to A.A.

Literature

Educates groups on all existing and new A.A. Conference Approved literature, A.A. Service literature and how they can be useful recovery tools for members and help carry the message.

Treatment

Helps nurture a closer A.A. community by sharing important information about upcoming fun A.A. events, workshops, and other important AA. news or information with our local A.A. groups.

Public Information

Creates awareness about the A.A. program to the general public and ensures they have accurate information about A.A. in the hopes they refer alcoholics to A.A.

Accessibilities

Helps those who are physically impaired, hard of hearing, or blind have access to the A.A. program. In addition helps makes our life-saving message accessible to alcoholics seeking help who are isolated either geographically, culturally, physically, or by language.

Corrections

Our District Corrections Committee brings A.A. meetings in person and by mail to inmates and creates relationships (but never affiliates) with corrections professionals ensuring alcoholics under custody who want to stop drinking have access to the program of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Helps nurture a closer A.A. community by sharing important information about upcoming fun A.A. events, workshops, and other important AA. news or information with our local A.A. groups.

Website

Maintains a centralized resource for local members and service as an important relations tool to help create greater awareness about A.A. to the public and alcoholics who want to stop drinking.
